PIANO MUSIC
For the last 20 years I have been recording early music on the piano. I hope you will give some of it a try. Click on the left hand link (CD1, CD 2, etc) to see more about what's in each collection. You can listen to these either on Youtube or playing directly off the website (smaller files, but to my ears they sound the same and they play instantly). The numbers denote years; 5 means 2005, 23 means 2023, etc.

REVIEWS OF RECENTLY-PUBLISHED EARLY KEYBOARD MUSIC

This site also contains information about the composers Ray Clarke (based in Castle Douglas), Nigel Deacon (from the Midlands), and Andrew Lowe-Watson (from Norfolk).

Ray Clarke is a teacher, orchestrator and composer with a special interest in folktune.

Nigel Deacon plays early keyboard music on the PIANO (small selection below) and has written many pieces based on folktune. A couple of CDs are here: CD-2011 .. CD-2016 ..

I was recently asked if I was interested in looking at some music for banjo and piano from the 20s. The great-grandson of the composer (F.G.Chapman) inherited the scores many years ago. I was pleasantly surprised - they are rather old fashioned, but the tunes aren't bad. Here's one of them, arranged for piano - I don't know anyone who plays the banjo.

F.G.Chapman: Foxtrot (c1926)

I've also written a companion piece to the famous Humoreske by Dvorak and a version of Chopin's Minute Waltz with 4 beats to the bar instead of 3. Click on
Humoreske and Variation - the Chopin pastiche is at the beginning of disc 20b.
