Chelleri was the son of a German father and Italian mother from a musical family. As composer he worked in Northern Italy, Kassel and Stockholm. His pieces are carefully crafted; attractive and straightforward. Platti's sonatas are in a similar accessible style to those of Paradies. The suites attributed to Techelmann are good examples of the early German baroque.
