 Three 'Giles Cooper' Awards for 'my' writers. 1. Don Haworth- Episode on a Thursday Evening
 Those Methuen blue covered books - another form of eye-candy. Two encounters with fifteen-minute drama auditions: 1. A woman arrived with a large reticule and startled we three adjudicators. This was within a convention of listening from behind closed blinds to the 'pure' voice. "I will begin with Handel's Messiah" she declared, believing she had come to a music audition. 2. A man arrived to demonstrate his gift for British dialects. He offered at least eight of them, each one identical. Always 'letter to follow' - we had a rather cowardly method of not warning off 'the hopeless' on the spot. SOME REFLECTIONS ON A LIFETIME IN RADIO
