Tony Marchant - 24 Weeks
BBC Radio 3: Drama on 3
Broadcast: Sunday 2nd November 2008 @ 9:20 p.m.
In his first radio drama, Bafta-winning writer Tony Marchant looks at how the abortion debate has become framed in terms of science,
rather than looking at what is best for the woman. "24 Weeks" is a hard hitting play that tackles the issues surrounding abortion and
specifically the 24 week debate as a married couple - Sarah and Robert - confront their feelings about Sarah's pregnancy.
Recorded the previous evening at 7:00 p.m. in front of an audience at The Bluecoats Art Centre in Liverpool as part of the '2008 Free
Thinking Festival' on Radio 3.
With Kaye Wragge [Sarah], Sean Gallagher [Robert], and Jane Hogarth [Sonographer / Neonatologist].
Directed by Kate Rowland
60 min.
