Excellent series about a sleuthing Franciscan prior and the crimes he solves with a young female Detective Inspector. Five series, the last one being broadcast in 2008. There are also repeats on R4 extra.
My own favourite episode is 'Cross Purposes', written by Simon Brett; it involves murder at a publisher's, where the characters include a wide spectrum of nutters obsessed with crosswords and word games.
A varied team of writers has been used. The programme comes from BBC Northern Ireland and is recorded in the RTE studios.
