I am slowly putting tracks of individual piano pieces on Youtube. New material will be posted at the top.
THOMAS ARNOLD JOHNSON
An unpublished piece by T.A.Johnson, composer of sight reading pieces and more substantial works for learners - and, of course, the Greyfriars Suite. Not sure of the date of composition - probably sixties.
Concert Waltz
CHOPIN PLUS ONE
A version of the Minute Waltz (op. 64 no 1) with four beats to the bar instead of three.
Chopin-plus-one
CHOPINATA
A tribute to Chopin by Clement Doucet. It starts with a phrase from the A major polonaise, and then we hear a number of Chopin tunes viewed in unusual ways. I heard this originally on Youtube played by Marc Hamelin, couldn't get the score, so wrote my own arrangement.
Chopinata
DRAGHI FUGUE
This fugue is taken from Draghi's Six Suites. The overall standard of the Suites isn't very high, but this untitled piece caught my eye. It is definitely a fugue, and you can hear the subject working its way through the different parts, though it disappears a little way before the end.
