English Apples - Witney Deerpark
| |||
Quite late winter dessert apple, small, hard, found next to the Deer Park,
Witney, Oxfordshire, 2003. Tree grafted; pictures to follow soon.
Apples sometimes stay on tree until January but usually ready end-Oct. These apples are
rather like Ribston; a similar shape and colour
but smaller, firmer, sweeter and have less russet. They are also scented.
