Very pretty red-purple blossom, bronze leaves. Large-fruited crab apple, same size as most dessert apples conical; red stained throughout. Flavour average; sometimes like juiceless watermelon, but not generally planted for its fruit. Fruit hangs until late Oct. Photos from Deacon's Nursery, Isle of Wight.
