the sex of a baby, for her own selfish ends. Stars Adjoa Andoh, Chris
Langham, and Helen Longworth. (Woman's Hour drama; series title

THE COCKTAIL PARTY EFFECT.....2004
The Cocktail Party Effect is psychoacoustic phenomenon by which our brains
decide which of the many sounds reaching them to register and which to
disregard. In this experimental play from Radio 3's 'Between The Ears'
series, PhD student Jennifer Rigby is trying to explain this phenomenon at
a university cocktail party, when she starts to experience the effect
first hand.
REPEAT AFTER ME....2004

With Barbara Windsor, Jacey Salles and Bruno Lastra. Produced by Liz Webb.
(from the Woman's Hour drama series: “A Whole New Me”.)
THEY ARE A MARRIED COUPLE....2004
Interesting play starring Chris Langham and Brigit Forsyth. A
long-married couple go out every Thursday to a fish restaurant; they are
the only guests. The woman had one affair, fifty years ago, whilst
her husband was away; she had a miscarriage, and they have never
once spoken of it. The play covers difficult issues - the couple's
ignorance and embarassment (and worst of all, silence) about sex, their indifferent
love life, and their inability to talk things through. Now it's too
late. The play - an excellent, thought- provoking listen - was
directed by Polly Thomas.
A related play about Kinsey is on the Steve Coombs
page.

"Ears Wide Open")
