Potatoes - Romano

Dutch, 1978, so-called replacement for Desiree. Early maincrop. Flavour not so good as desiree but blight resistance better (7). Very common in shops and supermarkets. Good general purpose potato. Midway between waxy and floury. Cold potatoes go a bit clammy. I've only grown this once in pots and saw no flowers. Its parent, Desiree, has purple blossom so I guess this variety would be similar.
