English Apples - Ecklinville Seedling

Origin Belfast, 1800. Very large cooker. Flat round shape, soft white flesh, cooks well. Pick August; keeps until
November. Less sharp than Golden Noble. Bruises easily so no longer commercial; was market apple in 1800s.
Usually green turning yellow, but may go red in full sun, like Allen's Everlasting.
