My impressions: Pasquini: ingenious and
intricate; Chilcot: slightly reminiscent of Handel;
Matheson: fluent and good-tempered with a
few smudges; Paradies: beautiful melody lines; Scarlatti : freshness
and variety and hints of Spain.
I have varied the material on the repeats, as was the custom.
Played and recorded by Nigel Deacon, Oct 2020-Jan 2021.
The music is from the baroque era and was written
principally for harpsichord.
